As per the Masdar City Companies Registration Regulations 2009, It is compulsory for all companies in Masdar City to maintain proper books of account and to perform an annual audit by an approved audit firm.

Requirements

• All Masdar City companies should keep proper accounting records.
• The accounting records shall be at all times open to inspection by an auditor of the company.
• The accounting records shall be preserved for ten years from the date on which they are made.
• The accounts should be in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. 
• The financial statements must show a true and fair view of the profit or loss of the company for the period.
• Within six months after the end of the financial period, the audit reports must be prepared and submitted by the approved auditor to the authority.
• A general meeting to be conducted with a copy of the auditors’ report.
• The auditors’ report shall state the opinion on the true and fair view of financial statements.
